BANT MEMBER ADMISSIONS POLICY TO THE END OF SEPTEMBER 2009

The external regulation of nutritional therapy practitioners is in transition and by end 2009 the Grandparenting scheme established by the Nutritional Therapy Council (NTC): www.nutritionaltherapycouncil.org.uk will be complete and the national register in place. The interim register held by the NTC is due to transfer to the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC): www.cnhc.org.uk in January 2009.

BANT membership admission policy will be reviewed at end 2009 when it is expected that all members in clinical practice will have to be registered with the CNHC. The status of non-clinician members is not expected to be subject to any change.
