  • Miguel has an enthusiastic nature and an inquisitive mind. He thrives in the application of integrative approaches to health, life and problem solving
  • He has a postgraduate/Masters level academic background in business, languages and environmental science/systems and is qualified to degree level in Nutritional Medicine with a BSc (Honours)
  • His professional background is in information and research management. For over 13 years he has worked in various consultancy roles for some of the major scientific, technical and medical publishers, such as Wolters Kluwer / Ovid / Lippincott William Wilkins and Springer Science
  • He consults for the scientific publisher Springer on specific projects, creating and delivering task-based research training to the academic and medical research communities worldwide
  • He runs two busy London clinics, which he combines with a number of corporate health, research/consulting activities
  • He also tutors and lectures at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition
  • A great believer in the neccessity of CPD, Miguel is studying Clinical Psychoneuroimmunology with the Natura Foundation and is preparing for his enrolment on a PhD, looking at metabolic health and its relationship with the HPA axis

Catharine Trustram Eve

  • 9 years in the telecoms industry, followed by consultancy in the Department of Health in Whitehall and for the Food for the Brain Foundation
  • My background consists of strategic planning, market research, modelling and analysis with some early forays into occupational psychometric testing
  • I run my own nutritional therapy clinic with a particular interest in parasitic infection of the gut
  • I also consult as a health analyst, recently computerising cognitive function tests for screening for Mild Cognitive Impairment, the prodrome to Alzheimer's disease.

Jane Nodder

  • Delivers training courses in nutrition and health at work

Deborah Colson

  • Specialises in a nutritional approach to mental health at the Brain Bio Centre integrated clinic in London

  • Currently completing MSc in Nutritional Therapy at University of Westminster
  • Co-author of Optimum Nutrition for Your Child and The Alzheimer's Prevention Plan

Karen Slattery

Karen Slattery - BANT Council Member

  • Karen is a qualified nutritional therapist and an experienced project manager. This has led to a keen interest in the wider strategic perspective of the nutrition industry. Karen sees her role in BANT as providing an opportunity to work at an industry level to help promote nutritional therapy as a primary healthcare choice
  • Karen works part time as manager for Food for the Brain Foundation - an educational charity promoting optimum nutrition for good mental health. She also runs her own project management consultancy business as well as a nutritional therapy practice
  • Karen is also undertaking an MSc in weight management at Chester University

Adrienne Wright Buelow

Adrienne Wright Buelow - Student Representative for BANT Council

  • Adrienne studied Naturopathic Medicine in Hamburg, Germany, graduating in 1997. She acquired the title Heilpraktkerin
  • She has extensive clinical experience in administering colon-hydrotherapy, IV chelation, complex homeopathy, ozone therapy and is a registered Healthy & Active practitioner
  • Adrienne heads the Canadian division of Healthy & Active, a nutritional program developed in Germany. Via regular seminars and webinars she trains health care professionals in administering the program
  • Currently she is studying Nutritional Therapy at CNELM
