BANT is your professional association and we want all our members to have the opportunity to get more involved - to share their views and ideas and be part of how our profession moves forward and grows. Being a successful NT means different things to different people, this is your chance to ensure BANT is working to support you in your success. Becoming part of the BANT volunteer community doesn't have to involve a big commitment of time and most of the work can be done when and where it suits you.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Volunteering at BANT can be very rewarding. Apart from becoming involved in a dynamic and forward thinking membership body you will receive valuable work experience and be part of a like-minded team.

FAQS ON VOLUNTEERING FOR BANT

There are 2 main ways to become a BANT volunteer-

1. Ongoing Volunteer Roles:

Roles vary within the teams but within all teams you will be expected to:

  • Attend regular meetings, usually via the internet, but on occasion in person.
  • Be available to take the minutes of meetings when asked.
  • Be an active team member, contributing to discussions, as required. This could include discussions around future plans, or reviews.
  • Represent BANT or your team at appropriate events, meetings or functions if required
  • Be available for approximately 2 hours a week and meetings as required.
  • 2. One-off Volunteer Roles:

  • We often need volunteers for specific projects or to help on stands at an event.
  • There is also the opportunity to give time to one group on a regular basis and whilst also volunteering for ad hoc projects, such as members of the Advertising Rules Team (ART) are also volunteering to work on the Practitioner Website Audit Team (PWAT).
